The Romanian Cultural Institute in Tel Aviv, in collaboration with A.M.I.R. – The United Organization of Romanian Jews in Israel (r.a), invites you to the a cultural panel entitled “The artistic career of a Jewish director”, with the participation of Romanian theatre director Alexander Hausvater and Iris Lackner, lecturer, film critic and cultural figure.
The event, in Hebrew language, will take place Wednesday, March 15th, 2017, at 19:00, at the institute (8 Shaul HaMelech Blvd., Beit Amot Mishpat, 6th floor, Tel Aviv).
In a dialogue with Iris Lackner, Alexander Hausvater will present his professional artistic career, from the perspective of a Romanian and Israeli director who has first conquered the international theatre stages and, further on, great cultural stages of the world. During the event, there will be screened fragments from various productions directed by Alexander Hausvater during his career spanning over more than four decades in the field of the arts.

Starting with March 19,Alexander Hausvater will be presenting his new adaptation of the play“Kuni Leml” by Avraham Goldfaden at the Yiddishpiel Theatre in Tel Aviv. Acclaimed Romanian director Alexander Hausvater has directed more than 200 theatre productions, musicals, opera and dance. He worked in over 30 countries and received numerous prizes and awards. He returned to his native land, Romania, where he worked with the most exciting companies.
