
In order to meet the growing demand for Romanian classes, the Romanian Cultural Institute (RCI) in Tel Aviv will continue the summer Romanian course, initiated in 2018, which this year will take place between May 20th and July 29th, 2019, for beginners' level only.
The class will be held twice a week, between 18:00 and 20:00, on Mondays and Wednesdays, at the RCI headquarter, located on 8 Shaul Hamelech boulevard, Beit Amot Mishpat, 6th floor, Tel Aviv. There will be a total number of 20 classes. In order to complete the course, a minimum attendance of 70% ( 14 courses out of 20), as well as doing 80% of the total number of homework are required.
The registration period will begin on April 5th and will end on May 15th, 2019. To register to class, applicants must pay the participation fee (500 shekels) and sent by email the proof of payment, together with the registration form, at the following email address - anamaria.margineanu@icr.ro. Please find enclosed the registration form. The participation fee must be paid in full before registering, in order to be able to take part in class. Please make sure to explicitly write your full name and that of the Romanian Cultural Institute on all the documents related to the bank transfer process. Note that all supplementary bank charges fall under the responsibility of the applicants. Payments shall be made into the EURO account of the Romanian Cultural Institute in Bucharest, account number RO63RNCB0072049713640004, SWIFT code RNCB RO BU, opened with Banca Comercială Română SA, located on 155 Calea Victoriei, 1st district, Bucharest.
In case people who already paid the course participation fee, for various reasons, decide to withdraw from the class, they can do so under the following conditions:
- if you inform the RCI team in writing, before the course starts, we will be able to refund you the course fee, minus an administrative charge of 10%;
- If you inform the RCI team in writing, during the first week of the course, you will get a credit report and will be reimbursed for the costs of the remaining unattended classes minus 25% of this amount, charged as administrative costs;
- no credits are reimbursed after the ending of the first week of classes.
Please note that the number of places per group is limited to 25 people.
The courses will be taught by Ana-Maria Mărgineanu and will follow a flexible curriculum, adapted to the needs and necessities of the students, by means of an attractive, interactive methodology. Learning resources include, apart from the study manual, a wide range of Romanian literary texts, magazines and periodicals, films and music. Courses will focus on the development of speech fluency, through free conversation.
The course will end with a written exam, and the graduates will receive a participation certificate provided they meet all the conditions for taking part in the course (attending a minimum of 14 courses out of 20 and doing at least 80% of all homework).
Starting with this year, the Romanian Cultural Institute in Tel Aviv will also provide private courses by individual request (according to the availability of the teacher), under the following conditions:
- one person : 80 shekels /hour/ person
- two people per group: 70 shekels / hour / person
- three - four persons per group: 60 shekels / hour / person
- more than five people per group: 40 shekels / hour / person
Payment for private courses is also made in the EUR account of RCI Bucharest and the possible additional charges are to be paid by the students.
