"How To Explain The History of Communism To Mental Patients" and "Star Without Name" at Karov Theatre. December 5 and 27, 2012

Karov Theatre is proud to present in December 2012 the performances "How To Explain The History of Communism To Mental Patients" by Matei Vişniec (December 5, during the "Civic and Human Rights" Fringe Theatre Festival) and "Star Without Name" by Mihail Sebastian (December 27). Both plays have been staged with the support of the Romanian Cultural Institute in Tel Aviv.

"Star Without Name" by Mihail SebastianThursday, December 27th, 8:30 p.m. In Hebrew language.

The "Civic and Human Rights" Fringe Theatre Festival will take place between December 5 and 7, 2012 at Karov Theatre in Tel Aviv. Initiated in 2011, the festival is organised by Karov Theatre, its artistic director being Dorit Nitai-Neeman.The main emphasis of the festival is on human and civic rights and it brings to the attention of the audiences dramatic works that deal with key-themes, like: the right to life and bodily integrity, freedom of speech, the right to equality etc. Together with the performances sheduled in the program of the festival, there will take place various multicultural events, among them: a breakdance crew from the HaTikva neighbourhood, one of the less fortunate areas of Tel Aviv; a multicultural rap group from Lod; a group of young Jews and Arabs from the urban art project.
