Musical Timing

The Romanian Cultural Institute in Tel Aviv and the Tel Aviv Journalists' Association presented a series of paintings by Baruch Elron (1934 – 2006), from the last part of his life, under the title "Musical Timing". Starting from the words of Edward Elgar "There is music in the air, it surrounds us, the world builds itself upon it, every one of us can get what one wants from it", the paintings of Baruch Elron present, in a surrealist manner, a series of well known subjects in the fine arts, on the generous themes "Time" and "Music".
The vivid colours, the optimistic images share with the occasional viewer, over the time, the pleasure the painter felt when creating them.

"The themes of his paintings tell myths and legengds through the language of painting, also stories, historical facts, literature motifs, real life and folklore." (Dorel Shor, PhD, Express Magazin, 14.09.2008)

The opening of the exhibition took place on Thursday, December 11, 2009, 19:00 hrs., at the Gallery Beit Sokolov (4 Kaplan Str., Tel Aviv). Introductory words by H.E. Edward Iosiper, Embassador of Romania in Israel, Miri Krymolowski, the curator of the exhibition and Lidia Elron, the artist's widow.
