We’re thrilled to resume our breakthrough literary series dedicated to women writers from the Romanian-American diaspora with another inspiring and diverse line-up of authors, including Raluca Albu, Adina Dabija, Felicia Mihali, Adriana Oniță, Doris Plantus, Anca Roncea, Elena Secotă, and Saviana Stănescu. The first episode of the series features Romanian-Canadian poet and academic Adriana Oniță.

Adriana Oniță is a multilingual poet, artist, educator, and researcher coming from Jilava, Romania. She writes în limba română, español, English, français, and italiano. Her chapbook, Conjugated Light(Glass Buffalo, 2019), and her most recent publication in the Globe and Mail feature poems about winter in amiskwaciwâskahikan (Edmonton), Canada. She is the founding editor of The Polyglot, a magazine that has published 148 poets and artists in 43 languages. Adriana is currently completing her PhD in the Faculty of Education at the University of Alberta, where she teaches and researches Heritage Language maintenance through the arts.
