Despite the unfavorable context caused by the worsening Covid-19 situation, Romania's National Day was celebrated at ICR Beijing on December 1st and 2nd in a limited setting, through an exhibition and a piano recital, presented both physically and online, as follows:
The event commenced on December 1st at 2:00 PM with the opening of the exhibition "Great Personalities of the Great Union of December 1st, 1918." The exhibition comprised a series of biographical profiles accompanied by photographs depicting the role and tragic destiny of Romanian national heroes: Iuliu Maniu, Ion Mihalache, Onisifor Ghibu, Ilie Lazăr, Ion Fluieraș, Silviu Dragomir, Gh. Brătianu, Alexandru Lapedatu, Ion Nistor, Ioan Pelivan, Pantelimon Halippa, Iuliu Hossu, Mihai Popovici, Daniel Ciugureanu, Arthur Văitoianu, Henri Cihoski, Iosif Jumanca, Aurel Vlad, Emil Hațieganu, Ioan Lupaș. The exhibition will remain open for public visitation until the end of January. At the conclusion, attendees partook in a feast featuring traditional Romanian dishes, prepared by the Romanian community in China, and engaged in a Romanian hora dance.
The piano recital "Hora Ardealului" and "Peneș Curcanul" by Ciprian Porumbescu, performed by artist Luan Yuhe from the China Conservatory of Music, was recorded and streamed online on the pages of the institute in China and Romania (with 246 views), coinciding with their official release.

*Due to the temporary suspension of screenings at the China Film Archive, the film "Reflections on Romania - 5 Facets of Identity" (2022), which was scheduled to be shown on December 2nd, will be rescheduled to a date determined by the CFA. It's worth noting that the film was transmitted in DCP format, Chinese subtitles have been completed, and tickets have been on sale since November 25th.
