The International Festival of Puppet Theatre will take place between August 04-08, 2013, at the Train Theatre and at various other schools and theatres in Jerusalem.
With the support of the Romanian Cultural Institute in Tel Aviv, Daniela Vartic will be invited at this year's edition of the festival to participate in the "International Exposure" Program organised by The International Festival of Puppet Theatre, under the auspices of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The 22nd edition of the Festival will host directors from France, Germany, Greece, Canada, Spain, Turkey, Taiwan, Romania, and the Netherlands. Daniela Vartic is the artistic director and coordinator of the International Festival of Puppet and Marionette Theatres organised by the Puck Puppet Theatre in Cluj (Romania).
The International Festival of Puppet Theatre, established in 1983, has become, during the years, the primal source of creation and inspiration in the field of puppet theater in Israel. The program includes five sections: The Best of Israeli Creation, "Pandora", Foreign Productions, International Exposure Program and Street Performances. This year, the Festival hosts shows from different countries, like: Thailand, France, Spain, Taiwan, Austria, Belgium, Russia and Italy.
