Crossing Europe in a language trip on the European Day of Languages - Saturday, 28 September 2013, at the Verona Graden, in central Bucharest
This year’s European Day of Languages events in Romania will take place on Saturday, September 28, between 11.00 - 17.00, in the garden of the city’s most popular bookshop, Cărturești. The events are organized by the Romanian Cultural Institute, "Vito Grasso" Italian Institute for Culture, British Council, the Polish Institute, the Czech Centre, the Hellenic Foundation of Culture, Goethe-Institut, Cervantes Institute, the French Institute, Délégation Wallonie-Bruxelles and the Balassi Institute – Hungarian Cultural Centre. The theme for this year’s event is "European Year of Citizens".
All the activities – games, competitions and quizzes are connected with the topic of travelling. During the open language lessons the students will acquire the "travel kits" – sets of vocabulary useful during the travel to a country of choice.
The Romanian Cultural Institute kindly invites the young and the old for three short travelling incursions into Romanian language:
- 11:00 - in the Attic, language games for children
- 12:00 - corner 2
- 15:30 - corner 1
