Masters of Romanian visual art and their stories, presented online by Art Society

A series of video materials will expose, in a unique way, the stories of several Romanian visual artists. The presentations, made especially for the online environment, are published, starting with December 3rd, 2020, using the communication channels of the Romanian Cultural Institute (RCI), both in Romania and abroad. The RCI project, developed in collaboration with Art Society Cultural Center Foundation, is based on works of art, photographs and literature about selected painters, and is curated by Art Society team.

Information about the artistic path, creative styles, personal stories and works of the most beloved masters of Romanian art were carefully selected by specialists. Furthermore, images of work belonging to the Romanian cultural heritage will come together in captivating and educational videos, in the desire to celebrate masterpieces of European-like artists such as: Constantin Brâncuși, Nicolae Grigorescu, Ştefan Luchian, Nicolae Tonitza, Samuel Mützner, Theodor Aman, Theodor Pallady, Gheorghe Petraşcu, Alexandru Ciucurencu, Nicolae Dărăscu, Corneliu Baba, Nicolae Vermont, Eustaţiu Stoenescu, Iosif Iser, Cecilia Cuțescu-Stork, Margareta Sterian, Ion Theodorescu-Sion, Victor Brauner, Octav Băncilă and even Regina Maria.

Thus, the international public will come to know the Romanian heritage art by connecting it with the works of great Romanian artists, but also by educating and stimulating the approach to culture, given the conditions of social distance imposed by the pandemic restrictions, in a period when art brings worldwide relief.

The Art Society Cultural Center Foundation supports the affirmation of the values of Romanian heritage art, as well as the promotion of contemporary art and young artists. The Foundation's object of activity is the organization of synthetic thematic exhibitions, as well as of other cultural and artistic events of national and international scope. Founded in 2010, Art Society Cultural Center Foundation has organized, so far, numerous exhibitions and cultural-artistic events for the art-loving public.

The online project will run until December 30th, 2020.
