Marona’s Fantastic Tale at the Haifa International Film Festival

The Haifa International Film Festival will take place between October 12-21, 2019 in various cultural locations in Haifa.

With the support of the Romanian Cultural Institute in Tel Aviv, there will be presented, in the official competition of the festival, one of the most acclaimed Romanian films of the year ”Marona’s Fantastic Tale” (co-production Romania-France-Belgium, 2019). Also, director Anca Damian will be present at the festival and will participate at the Q&A session after the first screening of the film on 13 October.

Synopsis: Marona is a mixed-breed Labrador. After an accident, she reflects on all the homes and different experiences she’s had. As Marona’s memory journeys into the past, her unfailing empathy and love brings lightness and innocence into each of her owners’ lives.

Anca Damian’s beautiful and emotional story of an average dog and her extraordinary life is told with charm, wit and invention. The film is animated in a range of styles to create an aesthetically rich world.
