Radu Gabrea Retrospective in Israel. 15 July - 3 August 2014

The Romanian Cultural Institute in Tel Aviv supports the „Radu Gabrea Retrospective in Israel”, opening on Tuesday 15 July 2014, 19:00, at the Tel Aviv Cinematheque, with the screening of the film ”Jews for Sale”.The program includes also the films „Searching for Schwartz”, „Gruber’s Journey”, „The Beheaded Rooster” and „Fear Not, Jacob!”, previously screened in Israel at the 2013 edition of the „Jewish Eye” Film Festival in Ashkelon, with the support of the Romanian Cultural Institute.
Radu Gabrea was born on June 20, 1937. He debuted in cinema in 1969, with the film “Too small for such a big war”. In 1973 he completed the film “Beyond the sands”, censored by the communist regime. In 1974, he emigrated to Germany, where he lived and worked until 1997.
