TLVFest, the LGBT International Film Festival will take place between June 9-16, 2012, at the Tel Aviv Cinematheque.
With the support of the Romanian Cultural Institute in Tel Aviv, on June 13 2012 the Romanian documentary Two of us (Romania, 2011) will have a special screening, followed by a Q&A session with the director Claudiu Mitcu
Two of us is the first LGBT theme documentary made in Romania, that is trying to create a breach in the wall of prejudices and intolerance by presenting the life of a young gay couple from Romania. This year, the film has also been screened at the Thessaloniki International Documentary Film Festival.
Claudiu Mitcu has directed other documentaries, such as Sands (2007), Australia (2009) and The Merry Circus (2010). In 2010, he was granted the „Human Rights Award” by the Embassy of France in Romania for his open approach towards diversity present in his documentaries.
