Institutul Cultural Român invită traducătorii profesioniști să participe la programul de burse dedicat, care îşi propune o colaborare cât mai strânsă cu traducătorii specializaţi în traducerea autorilor români în limbi străine. Prin autori români se înțelege autori cetățeni români sau originari din România sau autori având ca limbă maternă limba română.
Candidaţilor selecţionaţi li se oferă posibilitatea de a traduce în România şi de a interacționa în mod direct cu scriitorii, editorii și traducătorii români, cât şi cu mediul care defineşte literatura română.
Numărul de burse: 10 burse de una până la două luni (la alegerea candidatului) în perioada solicitată de acesta.
Valoarea unei burse este de 1000/ 2000 EUR (1 000 EUR pentru o lună, respectiv 2 000 EUR pentru cele două luni, împărţiţi în două tranşe egale).
Data limită pentru depunerea dosarelor: 15 iunie 2016
Durata burselor: 1-2 luni
Documente necesare pentru înscriere (dosarul de solicitare a bursei): - curriculum vitae, care să conţină, după caz: participări la colocvii, seminarii, conferinţe, congrese, comunicări; lucrări publicate, proiecte realizate sau în curs de realizare; alte date considerate utile de către solicitant; - copie după actul de identitate/pașaport; - copii ale diplomelor de studii; - scrisoare de intenţie/proiect de lucru; - două scrisori de recomandare; - copie după un contract încheiat cu o editura străină pentru publicarea unei opere din literatura romană.

The grantees will have the opportunity of spending a period of one month and/or two months in Romania, a chance for them to have a direct contact with the Romanian literary environment as well as the works and authors they are envisaging in their proposals. Below, you can find a more detailed description of the two types of scholarships encapsulated by the Translators Grants Programme.

Annually, the Romanian Cultural Institute offers 10 scholarships destined for experienced professional translators that have the chance to spend one or two months (according to each of the candidates choice expressed within the application documents) in Romania conducting their translation work.
The grant varies from 1 000 Euros (one installment/one month spent in Romania) to 2 000 Euros for the candidates that choose to spend two months in Romania.
The domain for which the evaluation and selection process is going to be performed: translation.
The length of the scholarships: one or two months (depending upon the option of each of the candidates).
The requested documents for the application: - Resume (that should contain among others: participation to colloquiums, seminaries of translation, conferences, sessions and projects of translation); - A copy of the passport and the identity card containing a stable address; - Copies of the study certificates/graduation papers; - Letter of intent; - Proposal of a working project; - Two letters of recommendation; - A copy of a contract between the candidate and a foreign editorial/publishing house that would certify the publication of the intended translation of a Romanian literary book.
